Rattan Direct, a leading UK home and garden furniture company, are looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Exec to proactively drive inbound and outbound sales to support the company’s sales targets and strategy. The Senior Sales Executive will be required to cover all aspects of the sales process from generating to converting sales.

You will be reporting into the Head of Sales and Marketing and the ideal candidate will have experience in a retail environment. You will set the standard for sales performance and will develop new and monitor current strategies, always looking to improve sales and performance. You will monitor current trends and competitors to strive for operational excellence – keeping the customers’ needs at heart whilst maintaining company profit margins.

Candidate Profile 

As a major retailer within the UK outdoor furniture market, Rattan Direct are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandiser with exceptional analytical skills to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for analysing data to support our product selection, pricing strategies and inventory management. This position requires advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to work with large data sets.

Responsibilities: 

• Analyse sales trends, inventory levels, and other data to determine optimal product selection and pricing strategies.
• Utilise data to make recommendations for product promotions, markdowns, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and supply chain, to develop and execute merchandising plans.
• Monitor product performance and make adjustments as necessary to achieve sales targets.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools to track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to management.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy of merchandising operations.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in merchandising, retail analytics, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
