Job Description

The Data Annotator is an entry-level role involving analyzing data (audio, video, imagery and text) and labeling objects within those datasets according to predefined descriptions. This position plays a large role in developing training data for Artificial Intelligence and machine Learning capabilities. As a Data Annotator, you will use a variety of internal specialized software programs to mark objects, activities, events, or other items of interest in images, video, 

text or audio files. This position is critical to the success of our customers, as well annotated data 

is the key ingredient in machine learning algorithms. 

 

Responsibilities 

●Annotate and label image, video, text and audio data via computer using various internal  software programs. 

●Tackle incoming tasks within a short timeframe – 

●Attach metadata (comments, markups, etc.) to image, video, audio and text data in  accordance with established procedures and precise instructions. 

●Provide feedback to customers if data is noisy or instructions are unclear. 

●Provide constructive feedback to our engineers on tooling and processes for more  efficient labeling, and to improve data quality. 

●Maintain ownership of each annotation assignment and respond to any changes in  procedure and auditors. 

●Evaluate metrics to help improve our productivity 

●Collaborate with other annotation specialists and help out with questions​

Qualifications

 

Requirements 

●High School diploma or evidence of exceptional ability. 

●Passionate and curious about technology. 

●Available to work overtime as needed. 

●Able to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly and be able to prioritize 

assignments. 

●Proficient computer skills utilizing keyboard/mouse. 

●Detail-oriented and patient. 

●Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills. 

●Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed and quality focused. 

●Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
