Our client is an international company that  provides socially responsible business process outsourcing solutions to help make good businesses great. They are seeking to hire a Director of Technology to join their team.

Job Description

The Director of Information Technology is accountable for the IT environment .

The role leads the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the necessary technologies to cost effectively support the business’ needs. Help and advice will be provided to all levels of staff and customers to ensure maximal use of the chosen technologies.

 

Responsibilities

●Manage the department’s goals, priorities, budget and staff.

●Oversee office infrastructure.

●Troubleshoot reported problems quickly and accurately.

●Investigate new technologies that will improve process efficiencies, including managing

implementation and maintenance of technology solutions, including the retirement of old

technologies.

●Manage company’s Information Security program, including selecting and managing

adequate security controls to mitigate assessed risks.

●Perform regular tests of business continuity, incident response and penetration testing.

●Provide operational reports.

●Manage internal programming activities.

●Manage IT vendor relationships.

●Security certification preferred

●Bachelor Degree preferred

●3-5+ years IT experience

●Systems thinker. Know how things work. Where processing occurs. What

communications are required. What can go or has gone wrong.

●Excellent communication skills. Ability to explain what’s going on, what we want to

happen, whose help is needed.

●Must like helping others. Your assistance is regularly required for peers, staff, customers

and vendors. Proven mentoring of others.

●Priorities can change frequently. Be able to manage the resolution of urgent issues

without losing sight of longer-term objectives.
