Job Purpose: To provide scheme Pension Administration and ICT support

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Description

Job Specifications:

1.      User Administration ( setup and maintaining  user accounts)

2.      Installation and configuration of systems software

3.      Create a backup and recovery policy and ensure backups are tested.

4.      Update system as soon as a new version of OS and application software is available

5.      To ensure that ICT Services meet the highest standards of accessibility

6.      Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network

7.      Setup security and user rights policies for users

8.      Ensuring that the scheme website is updated to reflect current information.

9.      Formulation of ICT policies and procedures

10.  Safeguarding the computer system i.e. hardware and software and related licenses.

11.  Ensure that employees and employer contributions received by the custodian tally with the expected remittance of contributions.

12.  Ensure that the scheme receives a detailed schedule showing the breakdown of contributions and the total amounts.

13.  Keep member records and ensure details of changes in members salary , redundancies , retirement , withdrawal and entry of new members are kept and updated.

14.  Liaise with sponsor regarding leavers payments promptly

15.  Calculations of members and dependants benefits (lump sum, Residual Pension and Death Benefits) in accordance with trust deed and Rules. Ensure computation of all payments due to leaving members is accurate.

16.  Ensure that physical and electronic files are opened and maintained for each member

17.  Provide requisite inputs such as data on the payment of benefits  and contributions received to the accounts section for the purposes of preparing scheme accounts

18.  Provide data from time to time to service providers

19.  Prepare and issue annual statements for scheme members.

Qualifications

Key Skills:

·         Must be computer literate

·         Communication

·         Analytical

Experience:

Two years relevant experience in management

 

Qualifications:

·         Undergraduate in relevant IT Field

·         Certification in any relevant ICT qualification
