Are you a technically strong, fully qualified Accountant, with a background in manufacturing (stock accounting)? 

 

We are looking for a new Financial Accountant to oversee the bookkeeping team (payroll, VAT returns, AP & AR, Expenses etc.), be responsible for monthly management accounts process (inc balance sheet reconciliations, period end journals and group consolidation workings), tax filings and compliance, preparing Group Statutory accounts including supporting workings and disclosures.

 

We are looking for someone who is able to manage & lead the annual statutory audit and can confidently liaise with external auditors. You will also be responsible for calculation of the annual R&D tax credit claim & the design and implementation of a product costing model to support the manufacturing and business development teams to drive profitable top line growth.
 

Qualifications

To be successful you'll need:

  • Have experience in a similar role and environment, in particular with an Engineering / Manufacturing / R&D operation
  • Experience of leading and developing a small team
  • Previous experience of IFS Finance system
  • Previous experience of Power BI
  • Have confidence in communicating with various levels of authority throughout the business
  • Professional, confident and mature approach
  • Advanced excel skills
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years PQE
  • Up to date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Previous experience of branch and JV accounting
  • Experience of calculating R&D tax credit claims
