Company Description
About us
Hello, we’re Reach. Every day, our trusted news, stories and content connect with millions of people where they live - whether that’s on their social feed or at their neighbourhood newsstand; through their local community or their take on the hot topic of the day.
We're home to more than 120 brands - from household names like the Mirror, Express, Daily Star and Daily Record, to local titles like MyLondon, BelfastLive, and the Manchester Evening News, and brands making a splash in the US like the Irish Star.
It's our ability to understand people and the things that matter to them that makes us Britain and Ireland's largest commercial news publisher. We reach around 70% of the UK's online population, 10% of the US online population, and over 100 million social followers around the world, connecting with them on who they are, where they live and what they love.
Your story, with Reach
As a modern media organisation, we're much more than just news. And it takes a wide range of people and skills to serve diverse audiences, customers and communities like we do.
We know everyone has their own story to tell, so we’ve built an environment where every background is respected and every day is a day to explore.
We’ll help you build a career that works with your life, while giving you the space to create and grow.
About this role
Please note although this is a remote position the team meet up once a quarter at Canary Wharf for strategy planning / team achievement.
Yimbly is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner to become the strategic authority for our tech stack. This isn’t just about managing a backlog; you’ll be the architect of our 12–18 month roadmap, ensuring our Shopify Plus and Mirakl ecosystem is scalable, efficient, and commercially high-performing.
You will sit at the heart of our operations, bridging the gap between high-level commercial strategy and technical execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic Roadmap: Own the evolution of the Yimbly platform, balancing new feature innovation with technical stability and scalability.
Systems Architecture: Oversee complex integrations across ERP, payments, fulfilment, and marketing automation. You’ll be the "first responder" for API troubleshooting and system logic.
Agency Management: Act as the primary lead for our external dev partners—running sprints, managing tickets, and ensuring every release meets our high standards.
Marketplace Logic: Optimise multi-seller flows, from split shipments to complex commission structures, ensuring a seamless experience for both sellers and customers.
Testing & Governance: Lead UAT and regression testing for major releases, making sure our growth doesn't come at the expense of platform stability.
What you'll need to succeed
You know Shopify Plus & Mirakl inside out: You’ve spent serious time in these platforms and understand the nuances of a multi-seller marketplace.
You’re a "systems thinker": You enjoy digging into complex API configurations and seeing how data flows between ERPs, payments, and fulfilment. You’re the person who spots a potential integration bottleneck before it even happens.
You speak both "Dev" and "Business": You can take a commercial idea and turn it into a clear, developer-ready brief without losing anything in translation. You understand that every feature should add real value to the bottom line.
You’re excited by AI and Automation: Whether it’s streamlining data or improving the customer journey, you’re always looking for ways to use new tools to work smarter.
You’re an Agile pro: You know how to lead a sprint, manage an external agency, and keep a project moving without breaking a sweat.
You’re comfortable in the ecosystem: You have a solid foundation in E-commerce Product Ownership and know your way around the essential tools like Klaviyo, Gorgias, and Recharge.

We take good care of our people - and that means more than just a pay packet. Whatever your role, you'll get a range of benefits, including:
- 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as an extra day after you've been with us for three, five and 10 years. We also have a scheme to help you buy extra holiday if you want to.
- An extra day's paid leave each year to volunteer for a cause close to your community or your heart.
- Big moment day - an extra day’s paid leave for a moment that matters to you - like getting married, moving house or welcoming a new addition to the family (human or furry!)
