About the role
As one of our Area Sales Directors, your role will be critical in leading our Field Sales teams in the delivery of revenue growth and client satisfaction across multiple product lines and media portfolios.
Reporting into one of our Regional Sales Directors you will lead, support and develop a team of Key Account Directors and Account Managers who focus on selling the various products within the Reach portfolio to lapsed, existing or new businesses across the UK, with a total revenue responsibility of £1.5m.

Due to the nature of this role, we are only able to accept applications from candidates that live within a commutable distance to Birmingham, or who are planning to relocate. You must have a valid driving licence and vehicle.

Job Description
- Implement our Field Sales strategy, driving growth and nurturing our customer base to meet and exceed company sales targets.
- Craft a tailored area plan that aligns with our commercial strategy, taking into account the unique nuances of your territory.
- Maintain a focus on revenue forecasting and weekly reporting, while striving to boost client retention and enhance acquisition value.
- Lead with passion and precision, demonstrating exemplary leadership and people management skills.
- Empower your sales team through impactful coaching, clear objective setting, and continuous development.
- Leverage cutting-edge sales systems and support tools like Salesforce, Buzzboard, and LinkedIn to maintain a disciplined sales approach.
- Utilise your analytical prowess to make data-driven decisions that enhance customer interactions and drive success.
- Consistently deliver our Reach Field strategy across your team, ensuring the seamless adoption of standard KPIs and methodologies.
- Transform market insights into innovative product requirements, gathering valuable data to refine our strategic direction.
- Harness past campaign data to forecast trends, developing actionable insights that propel future campaigns to new heights.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to unlock maximum revenue opportunities, ensuring consistency in our approach and accountability in applying people policies and procedures.
- Partner with HR to attract, cultivate, and retain top talent, using employee engagement feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Set the standard by leading from the front—matching the prowess of your sales team in every aspect of the sales process.
Qualifications
- Highly numerate and an excellent commercial thinking, able to identify and maximise revenue opportunities and report performance accurately High-impact, engaging personality with the energy to effect change and influence outcomes
- Demonstrable leadership qualities, capable of motivating and managing teams and individuals and takes responsibility for own and others development, striving to create a high performance culture
- Strong working knowledge of digital, national and regional media and the Reach portfolio
- Ability to communicate market feedback into product requirements
- Communication, including written, face-to-face, presentation skills and the ability to cascade consistent messages for maximum impact
- Experience of driving and delivering high revenue via a field sales operation
- Experience in sales and business development
- Experience in utilising various ad serving technology, reporting tools, and trading platforms
