Company Description

We are looking for a Senior Service Designer to join the Service Design team. In this role, you will facilitate multidisciplinary stakeholders through human-centred design processes that inform strategic decision-making and guide the delivery of cohesive, outcome-driven solutions across multiple platforms and news products.

This is a hybrid position, and so we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK. (you will need to attend the London hub up to 2 or 3 times a month in Canary Wharf)

Job Description

Collaborating with the Head of Service Design and stakeholders, this role focuses on identifying and executing insights-driven work-streams to help teams achieve key business metrics. It involves exploring problem areas to find user-centric opportunities that align with business goals.

The role requires delivering solutions that are desirable, usable, feasible, and viable, ensuring their seamless integration into the broader service ecosystem. This is essential for maintaining a user-focused service delivery that meets company objectives.

Fostering a culture of alignment and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is crucial. This enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, improving how users experience Reach products.

The position supports refining internal systems and processes to optimise the user experience. By providing UX design consultancy, it ensures all user interaction aspects are in line with strategic goals.

Staying informed about emerging technologies and trends is also vital, allowing the role to contribute to forward-thinking strategies that keep the company competitive and innovative.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who's a natural at connecting the dots and getting the bigger picture of the Reach ecosystem. You'll be great at spotting issues and coming up with smart solutions. If you're into Design Thinking and can align it with business strategies, that's a big plus. You'll need to work independently, hit deadlines, and roll with the changes easily. Building strong relationships with stakeholders through your people skills and empathy is key.

You'll love tackling tricky problems and running workshops, creating things like journey maps. If you've got a solid background in user research and UI design, and you're good at digging into internal processes using data and research, you'll fit right in. You'll turn insights into clear recommendations and share them in a way that's both confident and inspiring.
 

 

The Ideal candidate

  • Systems thinker with the ability to analyse interconnected elements, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions
  • Proficient in Design Thinking, aligning user needs with business goals
  • Builds collaborative relationships and engages stakeholders in human-centred design
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and creating service design outputs like journey maps and prototypes
  • Experienced in user research and UI design best practices
  • Investigates internal processes to identify constraints
  • Utilises research and data analytics effectively
