Role Location
This is a home based role and so we are therefore open to candidates across the UK.

Job Description
You will write and develop stories, with great pictures and engaging video. You will deliver a fast turnaround on major news stories across the US and around the world and bring in exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals.
You will ensure all copy is legally sound and meets the Mirror’s standards. This position will involve weekend and shift working, so a flexible approach is required.
Qualifications
You are an experienced journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent journalism qualification and in depth knowledge of media law. You have a strong track record of delivering a wide range of engaging human interest and hard hitting news stories at a national or major regional title while understanding what works for a digital audience.
You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and a bursting book of industry contacts. You’re flexible, inquisitive and have a keen eye for what makes a great story.
