This is a unique opportunity to work with our national and regional news brands including but not limited to The Mirror, Daily Express, OK! Magazine and more. You will manage a team of creative, social and Content Leads to plan new and exciting multimedia content across all social platforms. 

Reach Studio launched earlier this year and is a unique blend of editorial and commercial talent, serving multimedia content to both our audiences and advertising partners. Our dynamic team is made up of highly skilled producers, editors, designers and social media experts. Reach Studio has already launched a variety of branded content and podcasts including the Daily Express’ On the Edge vodcast exploring gritty true crime stories and EuroThrash, our newest football podcast. From developing existing podcasts to producing new video shows and formats that our huge social audiences will love, we want you to join us for what's next.

This role is home and hub based, linked to our Canary Wharf Hub. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

You will be key to analysing audience trends and identifying new content opportunities for Reach Studio. Taking charge of social planning strategy, ensuring the whole team knows and understands their daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives. You will create and maintain on-day diaries and forward scheduling of content across all national and regional brands. You will create and oversee a forward planning calendar for key events, whilst being adaptable to react breaking news.

You will act as the social and video expert in branded content meetings, helping reporters and editors to understand what works through detailed  performance and audience reports. You will build relationships within our newsrooms and will always be coming up with new ideas to fit our brand briefs, delivering with speed and accuracy every time.


Who are we looking for?

You have a background in journalism and a proven track record in social, video and audio multimedia creation and publishing. You are social media obsessed with a detailed understanding of how to utilise the algorithms of platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. You have a detailed understanding of legal and copyright issues surrounding the sourcing and publishing of video content.

You know how to attract new audiences using multimedia content across various social platforms and know how to motivate your team to do the same. You have a strong news-sense with an eye on what’s trending on social media and how that can be applied to designs. You can analyse data and create in-depth reports at pace, communicate your findings clearly and support your team to understand your content strategy and vision.
