We are looking for an enthusiastic and social media savvy Sport Videographer to join us to create engaging video content for our Reach Studio.  This is an exciting new opportunity to create audio and video content for our national and regional brands creating podcasts, video shows and social content. 

You will source and create stories focused in the Manchester region, working closely with our Manchester Evening News team using live and edited video and audio content, with a key focus on social media platforms. From Tik Tok and Instagram to Youtube, Facebook and more, your content will engage new and existing audiences.

This role is home and hub based linked to our Manchester Hub.  We are therefore open to candidates based in and around Manchester.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

You will be working across video and audio content ,from start to finish, jumping in to film, direct, edit and produce to bring your ideas to life and pitch, brainstorm and develop new ideas that will work for Reach, keeping them brand friendly where necessary

You will play a major part in growing our Manchester is Red (Manchester United) and Talking City (Manchester City) multimedia brands and capitalise upon the biggest sport opportunities across the Greater Manchester area.  

You will also be required to work closely with producers to handle budgets and schedules for projects whilst being a content specialist, understanding the roles and production constraints of different content types on our platforms, and work alongside the sport editorial team to find stories that pop.

You will also need a flexible approach to shift working and a willingness to travel within the UK if required.


Who are we looking for?

You are a sport-obsessed creative producer/videographer with experience in Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of media law. You will have a strong background in social video and football content which will be fundamental to driving views and therefore indirect revenue for the business.  

The role is focussed in the Manchester region working closely with our Manchester Evening News team. This role will focus on Manchester United and Manchester City as well as boxing and other sports opportunities.  You will be expected to film and produce industry-leading original AV content across a variety of platforms across Onsite, Meta, Tiktok and YouTube and have experience in creating both short and long form AV content.

You have excellent video creation skills and know how to make bespoke video content that matches each varying platform’s upload requirements, with experience as a content producer being essential and used to working to tight deadlines.
