If yes, then we want to hear from you. The Liverpool Echo is looking for a passionate writer and trend expert to join us as our new Trainee Fashion, Beauty & Homewares Writer. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded writer to join a fast-paced newsroom environment to research, pitch, write and optimise consumer content, guiding our readers to make informed buying decisions.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

You will create revenue generating, audience-led consumer content focussing on the latest in fashion, beauty and homewares. From reviewing the latest viral beauty trends and hunting for Black Friday fashion deals to creating buying guides for the hottest home accessories, you will build trust with our readers and become an authority in the fashion, beauty and homewares space. 

You will utilise our suite of analytical tools including but not limited to Trackonomics, Chartbeat and Google Trends to identify opportunities for commercial content. You will create and implement content plans to drive traffic, ensuring you meet daily revenue targets with ease. You will utilise social media to promote your content off platform and drive traffic to your content.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

You are a first-class writer with a demonstrable passion for fashion, beauty and homewares. You have a good understanding of consumer and social media trends within these spaces and always stay up to date on the latest viral products and brands. You have content writing experience and are bursting with ideas for consumer driven content. You are commercially minded with a desire to exceed revenue targets through your engaging content.

You are eager to learn and become proficient in using affiliate links and analytical tools to help identify revenue generating opportunities, with a keen eye for spotting trending content and products that you think our readers would be interested in. You are social media savvy and know how to utilise these platforms to further push your content.
