We have an exciting opportunity for Digital Travel Editor and Commercial Content Lead to come and join our thriving team. You will be working across both editorial and commercial creating engaging content for our partnerships and managing the Mirror and Stars online travel section!

This is a 12 month FTC - Maternity Cover

Job Description

You will be responsbile for:

  • Creating engaging content on a host of topics including travel, lifestyle, finance, sports and more. This can be anything from digital advertorials to newsletter copy, across all Reach brands!
  • Generating innovative content ideas for our Business Development Managers to maximise opportunities with new and existing partners.
  • Creating content strategy
  • Working alongside the Operational and Partnerships Leads to drive strategy
  • Overseeing the Mirror.co.uk and Dailystar.co.uk travel sections to meet KPIs
  • Managing the Travel Reporters and Sports and Gaming Writer to help produce high quality travel content to drive traffic including news, destination features, travel tips and more.
  • Working alongside Homepage Editors, social team and SEO teams on the biggest stories of the day.
  • Assisting in the integration of print and digital including maximising print stories’ impact online.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of working in a newsroom on a digital newsdesk, including commercial content
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO and social media
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
