Ravinia, North America's oldest music festival, stands today as its most musically diverse, presenting over 140 different events throughout the summer. These concerts run the gambit from Yo-Yo Ma to John Legend to the annual summer residency of the nation's finest orchestra, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

The 36-acre park is nestled in a gently wooded area that makes it an enchanting place to experience music. Guests can bring their own picnics or eat at one of the park restaurants.

As a Sales Associate, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the daily sales and customer relations of two on-site retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales using Counterpoint point-of-sale system and accept cash, check, gift card or credit card payment

• Set excellent customer service example for all staff

• Provide excellent customer service including engaging with customers on the sales floor as well as when behind the register

• Maintain and restock inventory for both locations via one central warehouse.

• Clean both locations on a daily basis

• Assist in maintaining warehouse organization

• Assist in merchandising stores and displays

• Provide feedback to Associate Director and Assistant Manager regarding inventory levels

• Count cash drawers at end of evening

• Additional responsibilities as needed

Required Education & Skills 

• High School or equivalent work experience

• Excellent customer service

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to multi-task and work in teams or independently

• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs

Preferred Education & Skills 

• Experience in retail environment preferred, including working knowledge of a cash register.

This job is a seasonal job for the remainder of the Ravinia Season (August & September)
