Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Strategy and Leadership:
- Lead the SAP team in defining, planning, and implementing the overall SAP strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align SAP initiatives with corporate goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the SAP functional and technical teams to deliver best-in-class SAP solutions.
System Design and Implementation:
- Oversee the design, customization, and configuration of SAP solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Fiori).
- Manage large-scale SAP implementation, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring project deadlines and budgets are met.
- Partner with business users to gather requirements and design solutions that meet functional and technical needs.
Project Management:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of SAP-related projects, ensuring on-time delivery, scope management, and quality assurance.
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and risk management throughout project delivery.
System Optimization and Maintenance:
- Continuously assess and optimize SAP processes and workflows for greater efficiency and productivity.
- Manage SAP system performance, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Drive SAP upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure the system is up to date with business needs and technological advancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders from finance, supply chain, human resources, and other departments to identify and implement SAP solutions that drive business value.
- Ensure smooth integration between SAP and other enterprise systems (CRM, BI, legacy systems).
- Facilitate communication between SAP teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on system requirements and goals.
Team Development:
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing SAP professionals to build a strong internal team.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the SAP team and across the business.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) with SAP vendors to ensure competitive pricing and effective support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders regarding SAP projects, initiatives, and performance.
Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts related to SAP implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption across the organization.
- Provide training and support for users to ensure they can leverage the full functionality of the SAP system.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing SAP implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Fiori, and other SAP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, etc.).
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, including ERP implementations and integrations.
- Experience in managing large cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership.
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of business processes and how SAP can be leveraged to optimize them.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies is a plus.
Certifications:
- SAP Certified in relevant modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP FICO, SAP MM, etc.) is a plus.
- Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be beneficial.
