Role Overview: 

The Logistics Manager – Sea Transport will oversee and manage the maritime logistics operations for Rashmi Group. This role involves coordinating and optimizing the shipping of raw materials and finished products through sea routes, managing relationships with shipping companies, and ensuring cost-effective and timely deliveries. The Manager will collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure that sea transport logistics are aligned with the company's business objectives and international shipping regulations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the entire sea transport logistics operation, ensuring efficient movement of goods from port to destination and vice versa. 

• Manage relationships with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and port authorities to ensure timely and cost-effective sea transportation. 

• Develop and optimize sea shipping routes, ensuring the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods are used. 

• Ensure timely delivery of goods through sea transport, coordinating with shipping lines and internal teams to meet production and sales schedules. 

• Negotiate contracts with shipping companies and freight forwarders to secure competitive rates and high service levels. 

• Monitor and manage the sea transport budget, identifying opportunities for cost reductions through route optimization and supplier agreements. 

• Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards. 

• Collaborate with the procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve any shipping issues. 

• Implement digital tracking systems for shipments to improve visibility and ensure timely delivery of goods. 

• Maintain accurate records of shipping costs, delivery performance, and contract agreements with shipping companies.

• Target: Achieve a 10-15% reduction in sea transport costs over the next year through optimized shipping routes and supplier negotiations.
