Job Summary
The Business Development agent’s main job is to sell the company’s products and services. The Sales and Marketing goal is to assist the company in increasing profits and sales of the products and shaping the business. Other support activities include creating and distributing sales information on company products to the customers, distributors or resellers through physical visits, digital/electronic means, direct mail and other channels.
Responsibilities
- Developing and accomplishing a sales lead generation plan, meeting or exceeding monthly or annual sales targets.
- Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start the sales process
- Working with managers to determine essential strategic approaches for sales
- Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the organization
- Outbound and inbound account management
- Supporting the reseller communication channel throughout the sales process
- Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation
- Handling cancellations or changes in sales order and communicating the changes to relevant managers
- Coordinating with customer service in ensuring the service commitment to clients is met
- Collating and consolidating report on monthly sales performance per sales personnel, per product, and per industry
- Providing effective product demos for end-user customers as well as for the resellers
- Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales order reports or forms·
- Attending industry conferences and networking events to develop industry expertise and to build network
- Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes
