Job Description
We are seeking an experienced clinician to join our team as the Clinical Nurse Educator on part-time basis. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be delivering education across multiple specialties including Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Colorectal, Upper GI, General, Plastics and Oncoplastic, Paediatrics, ENT, Gynaecology, and Urology. You will be required to work across all shift types and be involved in hospital-wide education. You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.
You will be required to:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in all hospital specialties where required
- Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility.
- Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience within a hospital setting
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
- Team leading experience
- Possess excellent time management skills and well development clinical problem-solving skills
- A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
- Experience in delivering Adult Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support training is highly desirable.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate of $58.81 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Clinical Nurse/ Midwifery Educator)
