Job Description

Joining our team as the Nurse Unit Manager - Eating Disorder Unit, you will work with and support staff to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. The Eating Disorder unit is a 24 bed transdiagnostic unit supporting people seeing support for their eating disorder in a voluntary setting.

The position is accountable for the efficient and effective management of staff within the department and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders involved in the provision of care and treatment to patients.

This fast paced and highly rewarding role reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.

Required Criteria:

  • Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an acute health care setting
  • Clinical experience working with people with Eating Disorders
  • Strong clinical skill set along with recent management experience or as a senior nurse leader
  • Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management.

Desired Criteria:

  • Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications (either clinical or management)

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of $70.89 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager level 1)

Additional Information
