Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Clinical Education Team at Greenslopes Private Hospital.  This role is a permanent full-time position.

In this role, you will provide education, mentorship, and clinical expertise to nursing staff within our expanding Gastroenterology/Day Procedure Unit, supporting excellence in patient care under the guidance of the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating department based training and clinical competency assessments.
  • Providing hands-on clinical support to our nursing teams.
  • Delivering education plans for the provision of the highest standards of patient care.

About You

As the clinical facilitator you are a passionate perioperative nurse who thrives in a clinical education and mentorship role. You bring exceptional organisational skills, adaptability, and time management to support the diverse educational needs of staff across varying shifts.

Essential criteria

  • Relevant Nursing Registration with AHPRA
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in Gastroenterology/Day Procedure units

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience in an education role is an advantage
  • Post Graduate qualification in perioperative nursing (or working towards)
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
