We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our busy Emergency Department at Greenslopes Private Hospital. In this casual role, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clinical and non-clinical staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and transport throughout the hospital, including to and from diagnostic areas
• Perform ward bed moves and provide general patient handling assistance using approved equipment and techniques
• Assist patients on admission and help them settle comfortably into the ward environment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in patient rooms and shared areas in accordance with infection control standards
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes

About You

You are compassionate, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will also bring:

• Sound knowledge of infection control, manual handling, and workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in a hospital is desirable but not essential 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Must be available to work a 7-day rotating roster
