Job Description

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused GP Liaison Officer (GPLO) to join our North Shore Network. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening relationships with GPs, specialists, allied health professionals and VMOs, while supporting referral growth, patient flow and awareness of Ramsay’s services across the catchment. The North Shore private network includes North Shore Private Hospital, Hunters Hill Private Hospital and Castlecrag Private Hospital, providing an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse and highly regarded group of private hospitals. Working closely with the Hospital/Catchment CEO and National Growth & Partnerships Manager, you will act as a key link between our hospitals, medical community and referring GPs. You’ll combine strong relationship management, business development and commercial capability to identify opportunities, remove referral barriers and support sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

You’ll build strong relationships across the local healthcare community and use market and referral insights to develop targeted engagement strategies that support hospital growth and better patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, practice managers, specialists, allied health professionals and VMOs across the North Shore catchment.
  • Conduct regular GP practice visits and identify opportunities to strengthen referral pathways and generate growth.
  • Develop and deliver GP education programs, networking opportunities and CPD-accredited events.
  • Partner with VMOs and clinical leaders to promote specialist expertise, services and new clinical capabilities.
  • Support the onboarding and engagement of new VMOs, including profiles and GP-facing communications.
  • Develop newsletters, referral resources and other communications to keep the GP community informed.
  • Analyse referral trends, market data and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and referral gaps.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting and insights to hospital leadership.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Hospital Executives and clinical teams to support broader growth strategies.
  • Represent Ramsay professionally across the North Shore healthcare community and build a strong local network.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a confident and engaging relationship builder with a strong commercial mindset and genuine passion for healthcare. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously, engaging senior stakeholders and turning market insights into practical opportunities.

You will bring:

  • 2–3+ years’ experience in business development, sales, healthcare liaison, account management or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience organising and managing events, education programs or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical strategies and actions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, databases and Microsoft Office.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the catchment.
