Job Description
Are you an experienced hospital pharmacist with a passion for education, mentoring and professional development? We are seeking an exceptional Pharmacy Educator to lead the design, delivery and evaluation of pharmacy education programs that build capability, support clinical excellence and enhance patient outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Medication Safety & Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading workforce development initiatives that enable our pharmacy team to deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Working collaboratively with pharmacy leadership and clinical staff, you will develop education strategies that strengthen medication safety, optimise medication management and support organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement and evaluate pharmacy education, training and workforce development programs.
- Lead orientation, onboarding and competency-based learning initiatives for pharmacy staff.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and professional development to pharmacists, interns and pharmacy support staff.
- Support clinical and corporate governance through education and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate ClinCAT assessments and workplace-based learning activities.
- Support safe, efficient and ethical pharmacy operations in accordance with professional standards, legislation and organisational policies.
About You
You are an experienced hospital pharmacist who enjoys developing others and is committed to advancing pharmacy practice through education, innovation and leadership.
You have excellent communication and organisational skills, thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about helping others achieve their professional potential.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent).
- Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- ANZCAP Consultant credentials.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
- ClinCAT Evaluator accreditation.
