About Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Technician with specialist expertise in Electrophysiology (EP) and Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) to join our dynamic cardiac team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who is confident working in a busy electrophysiology environment and has the skills to independently perform cardiac device interrogations, programming, and troubleshooting while assisting with a broad range of electrophysiology procedures.
The flexibility to work a rotating roster including afternoon and evening shifts will be crucial to this role.
The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting our Electrophysiology service by:
- Assisting electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional EP procedures, including ablations and complex arrhythmia cases.
- Performing interrogation, programming, optimisation, and troubleshooting of pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and implantable loop recorders.
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring extensive clinical skills and experience within a Cardiac Catheterisation or Cardiac Electrophysiology environment.
Essential:
- Minimum two (2) years post-grad clinical experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment
- Experience with Cardiac Electrophysiology Studies, Pacing Manoeuvres and Cardiac Ablation monitoring (GE MacLab / ComboLab)
- Completion of a recognised Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology or higher tertiary qualification
- Passionate mentor with the ability to support our team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to act as a positive role model and as a professional at all times
- Demonstrated experience working within an Electrophysiology role
- Proven competency in cardiac rhythm management device interrogation, programming, and reprogramming across multiple manufacturers.
