About Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Services Team Leader to lead our Environmental Services team! This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating and supervising housekeeping and kitchen attendants while working closely with the Head Chef to ensure high standards of cleanliness, food service, safety, and customer care are consistently achieved.

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering quality services that contribute to the comfort, wellbeing, and dignity of patients and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prioritise workload so that tasks are completed effectively to a high standard, safely and in a timely manner
• Demonstrate care and economy in the use of supplies and equipment
• Be responsible and accountable for own designated cleaning and patient service responsibilities
• Be responsible and accountable for team of cleaners and/or Environmental Services Attendants, providing guidance and supervision as necessary
• Attend relevant in-house training sessions to further your knowledge and skills in performing duties to the highest standard
• Adhere to Infection Control Policies and Procedures in relation to cleaning equipment and the clinical environment
• Ensure all cleaning activities are correctly documented as per schedule of the cleaning program
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hospital
• Adhere to all Infection Control guidelines and be involved in department programs and practices which comply with infection control regulations
• Step into managers role when leave coverage is required
• Represent department in Workplace Health and Safety

About You: 

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a hospital environment but not essential
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Experience in hospital cleaning is desirable 
• Excellent time management skills
• Compliance Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
