Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and professional clinician to join our team as the Clinical Facilitator on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be delivering education to both Medical and Surgical Specialties. You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate the completion of competencies in the clinical environment in consultation with the Learning and Development Manager
- Assist with ward/unit-based education
- Identify specific learning needs of the clinical staff and facilitate education in consultation with the Learning and Development Manager and NUMs
- Provide advice and training to clinical areas to assist with the orientation of new staff and graduates
- Provide bed side education and mentoring to support professional development and learning of staff
- Demonstrate high levels of clinical skills and standards of practice and willingly shares with others in relation to nursing practice
About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience within a hospital setting
- Experience in medical and surgical specialties
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable ( but not essential)
- Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
- Team leading experience
- Possess excellent time management skills and well development clinical problem-solving skills
- A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance.
