The RUK&I Market Pursuits Team (MPT) is looking for a Pursuit Coordinator, to support the drive to win strategic projects across the UK and Ireland.

As demand accelerates in the Engineering Services sector, we are seeking an experienced Proposal Coordinator to drive strategic growth across our UK&I service offering. 

Key Aspects of the Role 

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Pursuit Coordinator to join our successful MPT in the UK. You will work with MPT’s Senior Pursuit Managers (SPMs) and Pursuit Managers (PMs), writers and reviewers; Key Account/client managers; and Business Area Directors, on pursuits from positioning through to submission to the client.  

You will work under the direction of the SPM or PM on our strategic pursuits, coordinating activities to programme, managing deliverables and contributing to the development of compelling responses that demonstrate Ramboll’s capabilities and the value we can deliver to clients. You may take ownership of smaller pursuits and standard questionnaires, manage the end-to-end process and ensure alignment with client requirements.  

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

  • Support SPM/PM with the execution of all logistics in the bid process and leading on discrete tasks

  • Oversee file management, set up meetings, coordinate inputs from suppliers and technical teams, retrieve best practice material and share accordingly 

  • Manage bid programme, trackers and clarification/action logs to ensure effective pursuit delivery 

  • Attend meetings, be responsible for notes and circulate with actions 

  • Write or tailor project descriptions and CVs/resumes 

  • Use our SharePoint to source previous best practice text to share with technical authors 

  • Develop templates in line with client requirements and support the collation and formatting of proposal content 

  • Complete standard information 

  • Assist with compliance checks 

  • Proofread graphics and text 

  • Lead or support with bid submission/upload 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, tools and knowledge sharing, e.g. maintain bid content libraries, update templates and provide supporting materials to enable reuse and efficiency 

About you 

You will ideally have: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pursuit coordination 

  • Understanding and experience of applying best practice pursuit/bid process (eg Shipley) 

  • Good communication skills, responsive and flexible with potential to lead 

  • Ability to build relationships effectively across different teams and hierarchy 

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, multi-task and work well under pressure 

  • Ability to understand ‘what good looks like’ in terms of pursuit production – this includes written content along with graphic/structural content 

  • Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include enjoying being part of a team but equally being comfortable working ‘remotely’. Responsive and flexible, and able to use own initiative to get things done. A proactive approach, willingness to learn and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
