If you are a recent graduate or early-career engineer with up to three years’ experience, and you are curious about structural design in a consulting engineering environment, join our APAC High-rise & Complex Buildings team in Singapore as our new Graduate Structural Engineer.
At Ramboll, you will help create sustainable solutions in an open, collaborative and empowering culture, working with colleagues who aim to set the standard among our peers.
Your new role
As our new Graduate Structural Engineer, you will support the analysis, design and delivery of building structures from concept through detailed design, tender and construction support. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads, you will develop your technical judgement while preparing calculations, sketches, drawings, design notes and other project deliverables.
You will work on a diverse portfolio of Singapore and international projects, including high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, residential, institutional and complex building developments.
You will learn through hands-on project work and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across structural engineering, building services, façade, geotechnical, sustainability and digital design, coordinating with architects, BIM teams, specialist consultants and clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with structural analysis and design for building projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads.
- Preparing and checking calculations, sketches, drawings, schedules, design notes and other technical deliverables.
- Developing familiarity with structural design models, finite element analysis tools and design software used on live projects.
- Coordinating with BIM modellers, technicians and other disciplines to support coordinated models and drawings.
- Supporting authority submissions, tender submissions and responses to technical queries under supervision.
- Participating in design reviews, project meetings and interdisciplinary coordination workshops.
- Contributing ideas to design optimisation, buildability reviews, digital workflows and practical problem-solving.
- Building your professional capability through project experience, feedback, mentoring, technical training and knowledge sharing.
Your new team
You will join Ramboll’s Buildings business in Singapore, Ramboll’s APAC hub, as part of the APAC High-rise & Complex Buildings team.
We deliver projects from concept design through detailed design, procurement, construction support and handover, drawing on Ramboll’s global knowledge base and local market experience.
