Job Description

Joining Ramboll

As our new Electrical Engineer, you will be joining our Data Center Facilities design team. You'll work on data center projects during every stage of their development with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers. You will be involved in developing leading edge electrical infrastructure solutions to address data center designs for some of the industry’s leading names for enterprise, hyperscale and colocation data centers. You will be engaged in solving the engineering challenges associated with AI data centers, and grid capacity constraints. You will work with colleagues from every stage of the development of data centers and their campuses including site selection, environmental and regulatory due diligence, master planning as well as commissioning.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Preparing basic designs and performs calculations in support of projects, following design, construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools with supervision
  • Analyzing reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan projects.
  • Gathers and records information to be used for writing specifications and review vendor submittals and drawings.
  • Visits job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.
  • Develop a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Prepares and presents routine technical reports.

  • Candidates should have a B.S or M.S degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
  • Candidates with course work, or experience related to power systems, architectural or fire alarm design are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Familiarity with drawing production tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT is favorable.
  • Having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) is an advantage and we will support you in pursuit of your PE.

Salary Transparency Statement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $65,000 to $77,500. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
