Job Description

Hybrid-based position in our Mississauga or Markham office.

We invite you to bring your organizational skills into play as you assist with managing our Canadian business operations in multiple provinces. To succeed in this role, you must have experience tracking and assisting with a wide variety of complex projects and compliance in a fast-paced consulting or engineering environment. Your new role

As our Project Assistant, you will be part of the growing Canada Environment & Health consulting team. Our Canadian operations consist of approximately 35 employees located in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta, with offices in Mississauga and Markham. We anticipate expanding into additional provinces.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Create streamlined processes to ensure continuity
  • Assist with project set up, contract/budget tracking, billing, and administration
  • Assist with client communications and management via CRM
  • Assist with/edit technical reports and proposals
  • Manage and monitor Bids and Tenders for Project Managers
  • Complete FOI requests as per regulatory requirements
  • Maintain filing systems, including document control and retention systems

Qualifications

About You

  • 5+ years relevant experience required 
  • Significant exposure to consulting, engineering, professional services industries highly desired
  • Digital literacy and comfort in learning new software applications
  • Expertise in MS Office and PDF editing software
  • Able to manage wide variety of competing priorities and competing deadlines

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: a proactive style, excellent organizational skills, solid professional judgment, ability to work with diverse personalities and cultures, and having excellent attention to detail.
