As our new Structural Engineer in the Structural Integrity team, you will be part of a highly specialized service line in Ramboll Energy – Solution for Industry that counts more than 30 employees primarily
located in Denmark and India. Our service line has +40 years of design experience within the offshore
field and is world-leading in designing jackets for the offshore oil gas, wind market, reassessment and
lifetime extensions of aging platforms, and structural health monitoring including true digital twins of
offshore structures in general. You will be part of a department with many interesting projects such as structural reanalysis (SRS), inspection planning (IP), design life extension (DLE) of offshore jackets, topsides and supporting offshore substation (OSS) projects.
Job Description
Your Responsibilities as Structural Engineer
- Design of offshore structures (jackets and topside, monopiles) incl. input for 3D and 2D drafting
- Reassessment and lifetime extension of aging offshore platforms
- Advanced global analyses of the full structural system (SACS, SESAM, ROSAP)
- Design of structural details
- Contribute to internal development activities to continuously improve and optimise designs.
- Understanding of what it takes to design, analyse, and document an offshore substructure according to the prevailing codes in the offshore industry
- Experience in setting up and execute global analyses for structural design of jackets and/or topside, and secondary steel design by means of hand calculations
- Experience with structural analysis program such as SACS, SESAM, ROSAP or similar
- Hands on experience with the following codes: ISO19902, API, DNV, NORSOK etc.
- Able to check if a potential overstressed member has adequate resistance via desk calculations using Mathcad and Microsoft Excel. Experience in routine work optimization by use of programming or AI tools is advantageous
- Good English skills. Should be able to understand, talk and write English at a high-level

Qualifications
- B.E. / M.E. / B. Tech. / M. Tech in civil or offshore engineering (from reputable university)
- Minimum 3 years of design experience within the design of offshore structures preferably from the offshore oil gas and wind industry
- The knowledge in Jacket design or reassessment is added advantages
- A quality-conscious team player with an outstanding personality
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you thrive in an environment where knowledge is shared, and ideas are developed
- Timely delivery of projects, of the right quality, and within budget and given schedule.
- Proactive and good at making technical coordination within project team
- Contribute to continuously improving design methods and implement lessons learnt from previous projects to optimize value engineering
- Understanding of local FEM analysis supporting the FLS and ULS strength check
- The desire to learn and use Ramboll’s in-house software named ROSAP for structural design
- Ensure that Ramboll’s Code of Conduct, values and quality assurance system is followed all time
- Capable of making:
- In-place analysis (incl. ULS, FLS, VIV, check of grouted connection etc.)
- Weight report and manual calculations for steel members/joints
