​In the Business Strategy & Transactions Service Practice, we help clients across various sectors navigate strategic, transactional, and economic decisions. We support with strategic insights, M&A advisory and economic modelling.

​Your new role 

​In this position, you will gain insights into a global consultancy while obtaining solid knowledge of what it takes to be a management consultant. As an Intern, you will help businesses make smarter investments and shape future-ready strategies as well as you develop your consulting skills in an open, collaborative, and empowering culture. Bring your interest in business strategy, M&A, and commercial advisory into play as you help deliver impactful solutions as a management consulting intern.  

​ Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • ​Market assessments related to regulations, competitive dynamics, and trends  

  • ​Business model development and strategic roadmaps 

  • ​Commercial due diligence and transaction support  

  • ​Feasibility assessment and strategies for new technologies/products 

  • ​Business cases for investment decisions 

​ 

​You’ll contribute to projects that involve data collection, stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and implementation planning, gaining hands-on experience with the tools and approaches that define modern consulting. Typical project roles will include research, data and market analysis, creating presentations, writing reports, and participating in client workshops. Your tasks will vary depending on project scope and your development goals.

​We welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds such as economics, business, finance or engineering. Whether your passion lies in market assessments, regulatory studies, strategy, M&A or economic modelling, there’s a place for your perspective here.

​These include:  

  • ​Currently studying or about to begin your graduate studies or relevant higher education, typically within business, economics, sustainability, or engineering (Note that you MUST be enrolled in an ongoing academic program during the internship to be eligible).   

  • ​Among the best in your class. 

  • ​Relevant work experience from student jobs, internships, or extracurricular activities.  

  • ​A structured approach with strong analytical and conceptual capabilities. 

  • ​Ability to think strategically, have a high level of abstraction, and the ability to put yourself in the client’s shoes.  

  • ​Ability to work independently, but at the same time be a team player. 

  • ​Experience in using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.  

  • ​Professional proficiency in English (Proficiency in Danish is not mandatory, but it will be beneficial).

In addition, we would like to highlight that this internship involves a full-time commitment for a period of 5 months, which is why it is not possible to undertake additional subjects or, for instance, simultaneously work on your thesis.  

 

Basic information 

The deadline for applying is March 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. 

Start date: September 1, 2026. 

Note that you MUST be enrolled in an ongoing academic program during the internship to be eligible. 

End date: January 31, 2027 (a shorter duration of the internship can be discussed upon request). 

Salary: The internship is unpaid. However, Ramboll Management Consulting is open to the possibility of appreciating the efforts of the intern with a gratuity in accordance with the provisions of the SU law. 

Location: We are hiring for positions in our Copenhagen and Aarhus offices.
