Your new role
We see customer demand for sustainability, environmental and safety services is growing, particularly in the areas of services for a circular economy, renewable energy, waste management and innovative industries.
Ramboll Nederland is looking for a driven and resourceful candidate to advise clients on permit applications and environmental impact assessments (EIAs). This includes expert advice on environmental legislation relating to new or expanding industrial activities. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team on exciting projects, further develop diverse skills and build a successful career within the environmental consulting sector, from consultant to project manager.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Working on small to large-scale permitting projects and Environmental Impact Assessments for various sectors;
- Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and other professionals on all relevant areas of our projects;
- Drafting reports, collaborating with other team members, and providing progress updates;
- Assisting in the preparation of (sections of) proposals under the direction of the project manager;
- Engaging in support studies such as PGS assessments, ABM evaluations of substances of very high concern, water impact assessments and BAT assessments, and BB-CVM;
- Providing broad support to other disciplines, including environmental management, compliance reviews and support to due diligence services;
- Reporting in Dutch or English.
Your new team
You will be part of the CST Department at Ramboll Delft, where we work on various permitting, EIA and compliance projects for our diverse clients. We are also involved in permitting and planning evaluations and feasibility studies for offshore wind parks, hydrogen pipeline networks, carbon capture and other renewable energy and energy transition projects. You will play an essential role within the Ramboll CST Benelux team (Dutch & Belgium offices) and collaborate with colleague’s form across Europe and the US in defining and delivering on multiple projects involving international clients.

These include:
- BSc or MSc degree in Environmental Sciences, Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Land and Water Management, Physical Geography, or similar;
- Relevant work experience in consultancy (2 – 5 years – if you have more experience, don't let that stop you from applying if you're interested.);
- Thorough understanding of permitting and environmental regulations and EIA procedures in the Netherlands;
- High degree of independence, taking initiative, solution-oriented thinking;
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English.
