Your new role
As an Engineering Manager / Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a project team to ensure that our projects are delivered efficiently and successfully. You will coordinate and support technical development, monitor project progress and ensure that the teams meet their goals. You will also work closely with clients, stakeholders, and other internal teams to develop sustainable and innovative solutions that support the energy transition and help close the gap between the current state and the desired future state of sustainable development. S4Is main focus is plant engineering for hydrogen / efuel projects, chemical process industry and decarbonization projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Management and leadership:
- Management of a team of engineers and technical specialists. Promoting a collaborative and productive work environment. Conducting regular team meetings and individual performance reviews
- Project management:
- Planning, scheduling, coordination and monitoring of technical projects. Ensuring that projects are completed within the given timeframe and budget. Manage resources and priorities according to project requirements in close collaboration with our PMO team
- Technical expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and guidance to the team. Support in solving complex technical problems. Ensuring the quality and reliability of technical products and solutions
- Communication:
- Reporting to the management on the progress and results of the projects. Coordinate with other departments and external partners to meet project requirements. Presentation of technical concepts and project results to stakeholders
- Budget management:
- Development and management of the budget plan for technical projects. Monitoring the financial aspects of project work
About you
For this Senior Engineering Manager / Project Manager position you ideally have:
- University degree in engineering or related field
- Proven experience in a leadership role in a technical field, ideally gained in chemical industry, Oil & Gas, power plant business or similar
- Generalist cross-discipline knowledge required
- Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of your technical discipline (e.g. process, electrical, civil, I&C); ideally gained in chemical industry, Oil & Gas, power plant business or similar
- Project experience from study phase to commissioning and start-up
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions in complex project environments
- Experience with budget management and resource planning and scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Business fluent in English
