Senior Mechanical Engineer with Machinery Directive expertise

Your new role
As our new Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with our clients guiding them for compliance with EU directives and regulations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Advise clients on CE marking requirements for mechanical products, aligning with EU directives and standards (e.g., Machinery Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive, EMC Directive).
Perform detailed risk assessments as part of the CE marking process.
Plan, manage, and deliver multiple client compliance projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
This role can also include being Mechanical lead for bigger projects.
This role will involve a mix of technical engineering tasks, compliance management, and client-focused problem-solving, making it an essential part of our efforts to support clients in meeting EU regulatory requirements.

Our results are created based on a high level of teamwork and dedication from our highly experienced colleagues, who deliver engineering and consultancy services on a global scale. The primary focus areas of the department are the sustainable energy systems. Our services cover the disciplines piping, layout and mechanical. We cover all aspects of a project including concept and feasibility studies, detailed engineering, EPC, and follow-up engineering.
About you

These include:
A Bachelor or Master within Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years’ experience within mechanical design preferably within sustainable industry, onshore gas projects, oil & gas, process industries or equivalent.
Experience working in multidisciplinary projects across geographies.
Familiarity with 3D design tools and preferably have previous hands-on experience.
Have strong oral and written skills in Norwegian and English.
It will be beneficial to have knowledge within Pressure Equipment Directive.
Experience with working as Mechanical lead package engineer will be an advantage.
