Job Description

All investments have an impact, whether positive or negative, intentional or not. Our clients are intentionally using capital to create positive impact. We’re looking for a new Impact Data Analyst to help our clients understand if they are succeeding in that objective. If you are great at building relationships and using data to develop insights, you might be perfect for this job.

This is a new position, reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with all teams. You will be deeply involved in supporting client-facing and fund manager-facing activities in impact measuring and reporting. You’ll take the lead on building strong relationships with fund managers and data providers and keep up with the quickly evolving impact management world. Your days will be busy, varied and rewarding. Your day may be spent updating databases, building new database functionality, visualizing impact insights, sharing your reflections with the team about the latest impact measurement initiatives or popping on a video call to help a fund manager.

To succeed at this job, you’ll need to know how to gather the right data and turn it into useful insights. You don’t need to be from the financial world. Perhaps you’re coming to this job from the perspective of one whose lived experiences has made you only too aware of the need for systemic change. With strong information management, data analysis and people relationship skills, you’re sure to do well.

  • Turning data into digestible quality information and useful insights. This includes undertaking quality assurance of input data sourced from multiple sources and platforms and regularly liaising with fund managers. It also involves performing data processing and manipulation to produce structured datasets, managing and designing the reporting environment, including the use of APIs; and using data analysis and visualization to present results for use in impact reports.

  • Increasing people’s understanding, awareness and perceived value of impact management, within our team and in the wider sector. This involves preparing technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. It also involves documenting, sharing and improving Rally’s impact measurement and management methodology.

  • Other tasks as needed to support Rally’s growth and success
