Job Description
The Design Department Coordinator is responsible for keeping all design related information on Lucernex current and supporting the Design Team in coordination of all project related tasks. While ensuring timely flow of communication between the Development Team, architects and vendors alike. This role supports the Design Team in developing presentation materials required for leadership meetings by collecting accurate information from the Design Managers while partnering closely with the overall Development function. The Design Department Coordinator supports the Design leadership Team in certain administrative tasks such as organizing meetings and assisting with preparing various meeting materials. Additionally, this role will ensure timely follow up to drive outgoing communication throughout the department. This role is based in our Plano, Restaurant Support Office.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates receipt of all design requests, processing them to the appropriate Crewmember, and follows up to drive resolution while ensuring timely communication of results
- Maintains Site Sketch requests logs and track deliverables
- Receives, maintains, logs and tracks all incoming design requests (took from the above paragraph)
- Alerts and communicates with the appropriate Crewmember on critical milestones and upcoming due dates
- Reviews all proposals and invoices for accuracy prior to sending for approvals
- Collaborates with the Design managers to update Lucernex (Project Management Software) to ensure appropriate prototypes, color schemes, design schedule, and project assignments are documented
- Maintains and manages purchase orders, bid packages, change orders, and reports in Lucernex
- Responsible for training and supporting new vendors with proposals, invoices and data entries in Lucernex
- Assists the Design Team in developing presentations, spreadsheets and assembling DCM packs for reviews
- Assists in managing new vendors by ensuring all design related questions are answered and thoroughly communicated
- Supports Team in any administrative assignments such as expense reporting, travel and meeting coordination as required
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Lucernex or other Project Administration software
- Experience providing Administrative Support within the Design, or Construction industry is preferred
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Strong project and people management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Microsoft Proficient: Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and PowerPoint
- Able to work full-time at the Restaurant Support Office in Plano, TX
- Associates degree in a related field is preferred
Additional Information
The physical work environment for this role includes a combination of working from a home-based office, representing Raising Cane’s out in the community, traveling throughout the region, as well as time spent in our Restaurants. This can and will include working in a fast-paced kitchen and interacting with and serving customers. This requires extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing and lifting. It also includes working both inside and outside in varied temperatures, with and around food products and common allergens, industrial equipment, commercial cleaning products, and requires use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic activities necessary to complete the job function.
