Insurance Specialist (Sales)

Location: Dundalk (office-based)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 5:00pm (37.5 hrs per week)

Salary: €33K Euros to €35K Euros plus commissions (paid as a percentage of salary, 21% minimum OTE) and benefits

We're looking for a Business Insurance Specialist to join our Back Book Team, supporting existing commercial clients throughout their insurance journey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys account management, retention, and identifying opportunities to provide additional value to customers.

As a trusted advisor, you'll act as a broker for our clients, ensuring every recommendation is based on a fair review of the available market and tailored to their individual needs. You'll take ownership of your client portfolio, helping customers renew their policies, make adjustments, and access additional products and services that support their business.

What you'll be doing:

• Converting inbound and outbound enquiries into commercial insurance customers
• Advising clients on the most suitable motor insurance products and cover
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Achieving sales, retention, and premium income targets
• Providing outstanding customer service via phone and email
• Working closely with insurers and colleagues to deliver the best client outcomes
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance standards are met

What We're Looking For

Essential

• APA or CIP qualified.
• Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:2 (Lower Second Class Honours).
• Strong understanding of how to assess customer requirements and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service and resolving complex customer issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping and compliance.

Desirable

• Experience retaining or renewing commercial insurance policies.
• Proven success in upselling or cross-selling insurance products to existing clients.
• Experience managing commercial client accounts within an insurance environment.
