Job Description

The Role 

Salary: $69,548 to $75,190 p.a + super.

We are seeking an experienced team member to deliver exceptional administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Steward and the Stewards panel. Your key role will be to ensure the precise and prompt preparation of inquiry transcripts and Steward’s Reports, contributing to the seamless operation and success of the team.

A day in the life of this role will see you...

  • Deliver comprehensive secretarial support to the Chief Steward and the Steward’s Panel.
  • Manage the Steward’s department phone lines, and monitor and respond to emails as needed.
  • Assist with the processing of timesheets and rostering for Greyhound Stewards.
  • Provide administrative coverage within the Racing Integrity Department as required.
  • Prepare Stewards' reports, ensure corrections are made, and distribute them according to the distribution lists.
  • Handle Stewards’ correspondence and associated documentation as necessary.
  • Review and maintain the filing system for all Stewards’ correspondence and related documentation.
  • Accurately transcribe proceedings of inquiries into race incidents.
  • Order and monitor stationery supplies.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for Stewards.

 

 

Qualifications

About You 

  • Basic understanding of accounting (debtors and creditors in an accounts environment)
  • Knowledge of the racing industry would be prefeered 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and provide high-quality customer service
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities.
