Job Description

The Opportunity 

We are currently seeking a Procurement Business Partner on a 6-month maximum term contract. The role will consist of providing support to the Procurement Manager, and RWWA Business Units to deliver cost-effective, compliant and sustainably sourced procurement solutions.  

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Assisting business units develop Requests for Quote / Tender and Expressions of Interest. 
  • Assisting business units purchase from State Government Common Use Agreements (CUA’s) – where required. 
  • Sourcing responses to Tenders and Quotes (over $50k) from Tenders WA. 
  • Responding requests for information from Suppliers during request processes.  
  • Keeping up to date Tenders WA and internal Contract Management Systems and Document Control Systems. 
  • Assisting Team Leader and Manager during Audits (internal and external).  
  • Leading the process for evaluation of responses to quotes and tenders.  
  • Making recommendations for the procurement of goods and services as per RWWA requirements.  
  • Working with Team Leader and Manager to ensure procurement activities are delivered in a timely manner.  
  • Assisting purchasers raise PO’s in line with budget and contract requirements.  
  • Undertaking tasks as directed by Team Leader and Manager as required.  
  • Acting ethically and professionally at all times.  
  • Ensuring procurement activities adhere to RWWA Procurement Policy and Framework.  
  • Ensuring procurement activities adhere to State Government Rules and Legislation.  
  • Providing advice to business units on procurement strategies.   
  • Assisting the Team Leader with training activities.  

Qualifications

About you 

Ideally to be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant area (desirable).  
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role  
  • Understanding of procurement processes, policies, systems.   
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite and CMS.  
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and manage time efficiently.  
  • Comfortable working in a team or by oneself.  
  • Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.  
  • Ability to analyse problems and provide strategies and advice to solve issues.
