Job Description

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to assist with warehouse duties on a part time basis – 5 hours per day/25hours per week.

This role calls for someone with energy in spades, a positive disposition and exceptional organisational skills.

This is a physical role that requires you to assist with daily warehouse operations as required whilst maintaining a high level of customer service to all stakeholders. In addition, you will assist with the dispatching, receiving and distribution of supplies for RWWA Head Office and assist with incoming/outgoing stock control and freight movements.

You will be required to be available to work 9am to 2pm per day.

Reporting to the Property Team Leader, you are responsible for:

  • Assist with maintaining the existing Stock Control System to ensure sufficient supplies of are held in hand and then re-order depleted stock as necessary
  • Assist with consumables, i.e. milk etc are ordered and distributed throughout the various kitchen fridges in a timely manner and dispose of expired milk products
  • Work cooperatively with other members of RWWA staff in the sourcing and purchasing of goods for RWWA and its agents
  • Update and input data into the in-house Service Desk System where it involves replacement or delivery to RWWA Departments & Agencies of consumable products
  • Assist with all incoming and outgoing stock and freight movements, and arrange pickup and delivery / emptying of bulk waste bins adjacent to the warehouse 
  • Assist delivery drivers with the delivery and pick up to load and unload of stock using the forklift and manually
  • Assist with the required Servicing and Maintenance of the company supplied forklift and other equipment is carried out appropriately
  • Provide high levels of customer service to internal and external customers including TAB agents and RWWA staff
  • Assist with the distribution of RWWA consumables for use by RWWA staff & Agents e.g. tickets, supplies, paper and ink cartridges

Qualifications

About You

You will thrive in this role if you present all or most of the below skills and experience: 

  • Experience in the supply, purchasing and warehouse area, particularly stock
  • Current ‘C’ class Driver's License
  •  Valid Forklift license is desirable 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory control procedures
  • Knowledge and awareness of OHS and the willingness to complete tasks in compliance with these guidelines
  • Completion of year 10 or equivalent
  • Sound organisational and administration skills
  • Basic skills in: problem solving, computer literacy communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure delivery of multiple tasks as well as working unsupervised or as part of a team
  • A responsible attitude to health and safety
