Job Description

RP Pro Services is hiring a Sr. Windows Administrator for our federal customer located in Washington DC. As the Sr. Windows Admin, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to teams modernizing and enhancing the client’s Information Technology Infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing, engineering, and daily operations of all Windows servers with a focus on software deployment services. You will design, build, implement, document, and support Windows servers and infrastructure hosting various applications/web servers.

 

Furthermore, you will provide technical oversight and team direction that includes the development of practices and standards related to the use of computing resources at the agency, overall infrastructure migration strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, and related software.

 

The work location is in Washington, DC

 

Your Responsibilities:

·      Set up administrator and service accounts and troubleshoot, creates/updates and Maintains system documentation, interacts with users and evaluates vendor products, deep understanding of monitoring Windows Server and Services

·      Ability to work independently with some guidance from supervisor/manager Strong analytical skills

·      Able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment

·      Able to work effectively with other groups and team members

·      Scripting and/or programming (Power Shell, VB Script or other) Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot windows software deployment Reviewing service related reports such as backups; maintenance; and monitoring on a daily basis

·      Participate in researching solutions to various business and technical problems; evaluate alternatives; and provide recommendations

·      Establishing and performing maintenance plan activities

·      Provide Tier 3 support for customers and technical staff

·      Performance analysis, tuning and optimization on various hardware platforms

·      Work as technical liaison between liaison between management, employees, vendors, support, and consultants

 

Qualifications

Your Required Qualification:

·      Ability to work in the US

·      Ability to get Public Trust clearance

·      Expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure

·      Expertise with Active Directory including Group Policies, FISMO roles, Forest and Domain management and Certificate Authority.

·      Expertise with VMWare and VDI implementations and management

·      SQL Server installation and maintenance
