Job Description

A Reporting & Analytics Consultant is a member of RPI’s delivery team passionate about the implementation of Cloud ERP software.  

This role works closely with the client’s project team to design, develop, and deploy solutions that fulfill our customers’ various analytic and reporting requirements. 

This role must have knowledge of core design principles, common data modeling and reporting patterns, customer facing and solution design experience, and a successful track record of delivering. 

What you’ll do… 

  • Conduct discovery exercises, write requirements & design documentation, and coordinate delivery of the solutions 
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable Delivery Documentation and code 
  • Use common data architecture practices to architect, design, and develop data/analytic platforms (e.g. data warehouses, data lakes) that are used to produce analytic products such as reports, dashboards, ML models, etc. 
  • Lead our customers in programs focused on improved data literacy and expanded use of analytics capabilities to share key insights and make faster, more impactful business decisions 
  • Assist in the pre-sales process by guiding customers through the proposal and implementation process 
  • Formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending an optimal solution to meet customer’s requirements 
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and development staff to ensure recommendations maximize the value of client data across the organization 
  • Drive innovative technology solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends 
  • Share project solutions and outcomes with colleagues to improve delivery on future projects

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Data Modeling Experience 
  • 3-5 years of experience with development in business intelligence reporting software such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Tableau, or Power BI. 
  • Experience in writing SQL, stored procedures 
  • Experience with programming languages 
  • 3 plus years’ experience with ETL design concepts 
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall approaches to SDLC

Preferred Experience

  • Has significant analytic and reporting ERP experience in Human Resources, Financial Management, Supply Management, or Payroll related domains 
  • Relevant experience in Consulting or Professional Services Delivery role 
  • Technical skills in databases, warehouses, BI, analytics, and visualization platforms ideally within cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)  
  • Broad knowledge of data technologies, tools, and disciplines including data modeling, dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas), third-normal-form structures, ETL/ELT, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, and database tuning 
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE, or Qlikview 
  • Any previous Infor CloudSuite, Infor Data Lake, Birst, Infor Analytics, BI FSM, Application Studio would be a plus 
  • Experience in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services, real-time data distribution (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow), NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase), and data governance 
  • Visual dashboard development experience and skills and knowledge of best practices
