Job Description

  • Facilitate PMS Training and On-boarding process for new Hotels or hotels implementing the OPERA Property Management System
  • Travel is required for this position for up to 100% (when required)
  • Ability to do shift work is required occasionally, to accommodate training for overnight staff
  • Part of escalation path for after hours emergency issues with hotels
  • Daily duties while in office include:
    • Resolving Helpdesk tickets
    • Conducting remote training using computer sharing tools
    • Creating user documentation including online educational videos
    • In depth application testing
    • Assisting the RLHC IT Training and Support Teams in client training and/or support issues
  • Work as project coordinator with Hotel Team, Manager and Project Management team


Required Skills:

  • Experience with OPERA PMS (5.5, 9, Cloud, On Premise)
  • Experience in application training in the hotel\hospitality environment
  • Understanding of Third Party Integrations to PMS, how they work and fit into the overall solution
  • Hotel online marketing knowledge including Booking Engine, CRS and GDS
  • Knowledge of Independent Hotel Operations including:
    • Hotel Night Audit
    • Hotel Accounting
    • PMS Ledgers
    • Condo/Timeshare
    • Hotel Sales and Catering and/or Spa
  • Experience with current versions of:
    • Microsoft Windows Operating system
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox browsers
    • Mobile Operating systems (Apple iOS and Android)
    • Collaborative messaging platforms like Microsoft Teams or Slack
  • Experience with remote training and access tools such as GoToMeeting, TeamViewer and Zoom Meetings
  • Basic wired and wireless network connectivity skills
  • Experience with using\setting up a digital projector
  • Experience with Project\Task Management tools like MS Project, Base Camp,PPM Express and MS Planner
  • Ability to pass a skills test to confirm knowledge base
  • Eagerness to learn new systems

Position Requisites:

  • Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of hotel operations experience
  • Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of training experience (training with hotel / resort is preferred)
  • Ability to facilitate remote and onsite user and management level training for RLHC hospitality systems with class sizes of 2-20 users.
  • Working knowledge of OPERA PMS (property management system)
  • Professional appearance and presence at all times when working with hotel teams
  • Ability to work with several vertical teams to achieve successful on-boarding for our hotels
  • Possess excellent communication/written skills

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills
  • Multilingual is a plus
  • Must Possess Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Understand learning types, agendas and time management within a corporate training classroom
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively from home and remote locations
  • Self-Starter
  • Ability to take constructive and non-constructive criticism from team-members, inter-department vertical teams, managers and customers
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager or project lead\manager
