Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team lead to perform checks on regulatory reports and group reports e.g MAS returns
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reports submitted to MAS as well as internal reports to Head Office.
  • Investigate, remediate and review for potential data quality issues impacting regulatory reporting and participate in projects for report automation.
  • Establish effective controls and support improvement initiatives in collaboration with other business/functions teams
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and Group guidelines.
  • Review & manage the delivery of new regulatory reporting change projects.
  • Conduct impact assessment of regulations and communicate the regulatory change landscape to various cross asset operational teams and technology
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors for all regulatory matters
  • Ensure proper documentation and backup of reports.
  • Assist in training of junior staff

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Accountancy and Finance or equivalent; professional financial accreditation (CFA/CA/CPA etc)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably also with Audit or Accountancy/Finance background
  • Knowledge of local regulatory reporting requirements (MAS) e.g SFA, FATCA, CRS, SDIC etc
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Meticulous and enjoy working with data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, facilitate decision-making by providing right level of information and timely escalation when required
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
