Job Description
- Provide expert and strategic legal and compliance advice to management
- Draft and review agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights
- Handle legal related matters for the company such as litigations, registration of trade mark, contract negotiations, adjudication etc.
- Manage, oversee and lead the compliance function for fund management
- Carry out core legal review function for fund management
- Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action
- Independently carry out legal and compliance advisory work
- Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, clients) as required
- Build relationship with all internal stakeholders
- Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal, compliance and all other areas;
- Keep abreast of relevant laws and regulations
- Oversee and manage compliance checks on AML and all new initiatives imposed by MAS and group compliance
- Oversee and manage the timely provision of compliance report
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Country Head, Legal and Country Head, Compliance from time to time
Qualifications
- Degree in Law
- Preferably with experience in Singapore financial industry as legal counsel
- To be familiar with relevant laws and regulations covering capital markets
- Detailed to attention
- Good communication skill
- Team player
- Willing to perform compliance work
- “Can do” attitude
