Job Description

Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team by assisting with the purchasing process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in processing purchase orders and requisitions accurately and promptly
  • Maintain files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries
  • May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations, and follow up on outstanding purchase orders
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and track deliveries
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify the purchasing team of low stock or discrepancies
  • Help resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or invoices
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to purchasing activities as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • High School or GED - Required
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Effective communication skills with peers and branch personnel
  • Solid mathematical skills
