As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the definition and support of technological and architectural solutions within your area of responsibility as a solution architect in the IT Cluster Marketing & CRM.

Within our CRM Data & Insights product family, you will work on projects and solutions for our existing and future data landscape and infrastructure. You will play a big role in designing and shape our future data (tech) stack.

Together we build the technical foundation as basis for data-driven decisions in REWE Group's CRM environment. We aim to achieve a 360-degree customer view.

Job Description

  • Work together with product teams to develop architectural target images and transformation paths, both in terms of content and as a facilitator
  • Evaluate and design architectures with regards to functional and non-functional requirements, compliance with architectural principles, technical debt and relevant IT trends, among other things
  • Documenting the architecture and technology within the area of responsibility
  • Coordinate technical details with software engineers and enforce our company standards
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching for developers, engineers and other team members
  • Support the implementation and documentation of new technical requirements
  • Collaborate on overarching topics with the central architecture team
  • Contribute to our overall architecture and technology stack as a part of our communities of practice

Qualifications

  • Completed technical education with focus on IT (HTL, FH, TU) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT industry, in which you have gained significant experience in the design and implementation of data architectures and software systems
  • Knowhow of systems design and architecture modeling (i.e. arc42, C4, ArchiMate etc.)
  • Passionate about data, data modelling and data driven decision making
  • Strong experience with big data technologies and approaches managing large datasets
  • Experience in analytical cloud databases (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery) is an advantage
  • Proficiency with data modelling and engineering, Big Data, ETL/ELT, SQL
  • Knowledge about data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, …) is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in projects relating to data solutions (e.g. data lake, system integration, data migration, data warehousing)
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle and QA principles
  • Proven understanding of professional IT architecture design in the age of Cloud (especially GCP), agile teams, container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), DevOps, microservice architectures and design thinking
  • Technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High quality organizational and communication skills
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Preferably CPSA (Certified Professional for Software Architecture) training
