Job Description
EARTHRES a Division of RESPEC, seeks a field scientist to assist with our CQA projects throughout West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Primary activities include:
- Conduct geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental investigations.
- Perform field sampling of water, soil, and materials.
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret subsurface data, including soil and groundwater characteristics.
- Oversee and assist in soil and rock classification during drilling projects.
- Provide construction quality assurance (CQA) observations for various construction projects. (all sectors/project types)
- Support geologic and engineering tasks in the office, including data analysis and report preparation.
- Develop your technical knowledge through diverse project experience across multiple industries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Expand your expertise by working on projects in the energy, mining, industrial, and environmental sectors.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with CADD, ArcGIS, or boring log software (e.g., gINT) is a plus.
