Job Description
RESPEC, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our full-service engineering team! The Civil Engineer will design various types of projects in our Southeast Alaska office for public- and private-sector clients. This is a hands-on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Water Market Sector and will include working on multidiscipline design and construction projects. This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession while gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects performed in Juneau and Southeast Alaska.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within 1 year
- Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency
- Solid knowledge of computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Self-motivated, energetic, and ability to take on new tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team
- Detail-oriented and well-organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience in construction
- Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating
- Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects
